MA/AA (maleic acid-acrylic acid copolymer) is a low molecular weight polyelectrolyte, which is prepared by copolymerization of Maleic Acid, MA) and Acrylic Acid, AA) in a certain proportion.

MA/AA has the following main characteristics:
Scale inhibition performance: MA/AA has a strong chelating effect on metal ions such as calcium and magnesium in water, which can effectively prevent these ions from forming solid precipitate, that is, scale. This characteristic makes it widely used in the field of industrial water treatment.
Dispersion performance: MA/AA shows excellent dispersion performance, which can prevent the formed tiny particles from gathering and depositing on the surface of the equipment, thus maintaining the fluidity of the water system and the normal operation of the equipment.
Thermal stability: MA/AA has high thermal stability, which can keep its performance stable at high temperature up to 300℃, and is suitable for various high-temperature working environments.
Compatibility and synergy: MA/AA has good compatibility with other water treatment agents, and can produce synergy, further improving the overall water treatment effect.
Biodegradability: MA/AA has a certain biodegradability, which can be decomposed into harmless substances in the natural environment, reducing environmental pollution.
Application area:
Industrial water treatment: MA/AA is widely used in low-pressure boilers, central heating, central air conditioning and various circulating cooling water systems to prevent scaling and improve water treatment efficiency.
Textile printing and dyeing: In textile printing and dyeing industry, MA/AA can be used as chelating dispersant, which is helpful to improve dyeing effect and product quality.
Electronic industry: Because of its high purity and excellent dispersibility, MA/AA is also suitable for cleaning agents in electronic industry, which can meet the requirements of high precision and high cleanliness.
Paper industry: MA/AA can be used as dispersant, retention aid and filter aid to improve the quality and production efficiency of paper.
