Sodium Sulfide for Sale

Core Features & Technical Advantages

  • High & Consistent Purity: Our Sodium Sulfide (red flakes) has a minimum purity of 60% with tight quality control, ensuring batch‑to‑batch consistency for reliable industrial performance.

  • Excellent Physical Form: The red flake shape is easy to handle, store, and transport. It dissolves quickly in water without excessive dust, reducing worker exposure and material loss.

  • Stable Supply & Professional Logistics: As a direct supplier, we maintain stable inventory year‑round. With full dangerous goods expertise (UN 1385, Class 4.2), we provide UN‑approved packaging, MSDS, and complete export documentation.

  • SGS‑Certified Quality: Our production process is SGS‑certified. Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) confirming Na₂S content, iron levels, and water insolubles.

  • Multi‑Industry Workhorse: One product serves many industries — from leather unhairing and paper pulping to water treatment, ore flotation, textile dyeing, and chemical synthesis

What is Sodium Sulfide Used for

  • Leather Industry (Unhairing): Sodium sulfide is the standard chemical for removing hair from animal hides during leather processing. It works with lime to break down keratin proteins, allowing hair to be removed cleanly and efficiently.

  • Pulp & Paper Industry (Kraft Process): Used as a cooking agent in the kraft pulping process to break down wood lignin, helping separate cellulose fibers for paper production.

  • Mining & Ore Flotation: Used in mineral processing as a sulfidizing agent for oxidized ores (copper, lead, zinc). It helps convert mineral surfaces to improve their floatability and enhance metal recovery.

  • Water Treatment (Heavy Metal Removal & Oxygen Scavenger): Acts as a heavy metal precipitant, reacting with dissolved metals (copper, lead, mercury, zinc) in wastewater to form insoluble metal sulfides. Also serves as an oxygen scavenger to remove dissolved oxygen from boiler water.

  • Dye Manufacturing & Textile Industry: Key raw material for producing sulfur dyes (especially sulfur black) and used as a reducing agent to dissolve sulfur dyes during textile dyeing. Also applied as a bleaching agent, desulfurizing agent, and mordant.
