Premium desiccants, superior drying agents for optimal moisture control.

Moisture Control Solutions for Sensitive Industries

High-performance desiccants and drying agents for electronics, pharmaceuticals, container shipping, and other humidity-critical applications. Protect your products from corrosion, mold, degradation, and cargo damage.

What is Desiccants

A desiccant, also known as a drying agent, is a substance or material used to absorb and remove moisture from the surrounding environment. Desiccants are commonly employed to control humidity levels and prevent moisture-related damage in various applications. They work by adsorbing (not absorbing) water vapor from the air, effectively drying the surrounding atmosphere and maintaining dry conditions.

The term “adsorption” refers to the process of molecules adhering to the surface of a solid or liquid, forming a thin film. In the case of desiccants, water molecules in the air adhere to the surface of the desiccant material, where they are held by various forces, such as van der Waals forces or hydrogen bonding.

Industries We Serve

Moisture Sensitive Industries

Electronics & Semiconductors
Problem: Moisture causes “popcorn effect” during soldering and corrodes circuit boards.
Solution: Molecular sieves and silica gel desiccants. Meet JEDEC standards for SMD packaging, PCB storage, and IC transport.

Pharmaceutical & Nutraceutical
Problem: Tablets and capsules absorb moisture, lose potency, or fail shelf-life tests.
Solution: Silica gel and molecular sieves. FDA-approved and compliant with USP <670> standards for drug bottles, diagnostic kits, and supplements.

Container Shipping & Logistics
Problem: “Container rain” wets cartons and rusts metal parts during long sea voyages.
Solution: Calcium chloride container desiccants. Absorb up to 300% of their own weight and turn into gel – no leakage.

Food & Beverage Packaging
Problem: Food becomes soft, moldy, or loses crispness.
Solution: Silica gel or clay desiccants. Food-contact grade approved for dried meat, nuts, snacks, and pet food.

Industrial Machinery & Automotive Parts
Problem: Metal parts rust during storage and transport.
Solution: Clay desiccants or activated alumina. Low-cost, reliable protection for heavy machinery and auto components.

Examples of Desiccants

Types of Desiccants We Supply

Silica Gel
A porous, non-toxic desiccant that adsorbs moisture well. We offer indicating types (orange-to-green) and non-indicating white beads. Available in various pore sizes (2–4 mm, 4–8 mm) for different absorption speeds.

Activated Clay Desiccant
Natural clay with good moisture adsorption at moderate humidity. Our particle size is 2–4 mm. It is cost-effective and ideal for general cargo protection.

Activated Carbon
Made from coconut shell or coal. We supply in granular, pellet, columnar, flake, and powder forms. Coconut-shell carbon has higher hardness and purity.

Molecular Sieve
Synthetic aluminosilicate with uniform pores. Available as gray-white or beige spheres and extruded columns. Main types: 3A, 4A, 5A, 10X, 11X, XH-7.

Bentonite
Natural clay with strong swelling and adsorption properties. Purity ranges from 80% to 95% or higher, depending on grade and application. Used for general drying and as a desiccant carrier.

Calcium Chloride
Highly hygroscopic chemical desiccant. We supply anhydrous (≥94%) and dihydrate (≥74%) forms. Available as white flakes, crystalline powder, or granules. Ideal for container shipping.

Activated Aluminium Oxide
Porous, high-surface-area material. Purity typically 90% to 99% or higher. Used for deep drying of compressed air, gases, and liquids. High crush strength and regenerable.

Montmorillonite Desiccant
A type of natural clay with excellent moisture adsorption. Appears as fine beige to light gray particles or fine powder. Purity usually 95–99%. Common in packaging for electronics and machinery.

Zeolite
Microporous mineral with strong ion-exchange and adsorption properties. Available as gray granules or white powder. Purity ≥90%. Used in drying, gas separation, and water treatment.

The choice of desiccant depends on factors such as the application, required moisture adsorption capacity, environmental considerations, and budget constraints. Proper use and disposal of desiccants are essential to ensure their effectiveness and minimize any potential environmental impact.

How to Choose the Right Desiccant for Your Industry

Desiccant TypeKey AdvantageBest for
Silica GelSafe, neutral chemical, wide use.Electronics, pharmaceuticals, food packaging, general goods.
Calcium ChlorideHighest moisture absorption (up to 300% its weight)High humidity environments like shipping containers, long-term storage.
Molecular SieveAdsorbs at extremely low humidity (<10% RH) and high temperaturesDeep drying of gases, solvents, sensitive electronics, high-value goods.
Clay DesiccantCost-effective, eco-friendly.Moderate humidity conditions, general packaging of less sensitive goods.
Activated AluminaHigh crush strength, regenerable.Compressed air drying, water treatment, specialized industrial processes.
Activated CarbonRemoves moisture, odors, and gases.Applications where odor control is needed alongside moisture absorption.
BentoniteNatural, good absorption for general use.General moisture control for non-sensitive items, shipping containers.
ZeoliteActs as a sieve, ion-exchanger, and adsorbent.Water purification, gas separation, as a catalyst, and in aquaculture.
