Chile PAC Factory Wastewater Treatment Solution

Effective wastewater treatment chemicals for eco-friendly water purification solutions.

Hoo Chemtec shipped 50 tons of PAC to Chile for industrial wastewater treatment.

Why choose polyaluminum chloride for factory wastewater treatment?

Polyaluminum chloride, a highly efficient inorganic polymer coagulant, is widely used in drinking water purification, industrial wastewater treatment, and municipal wastewater treatment. It’s a versatile wastewater treatment solution. With a dosage of only one-third that of traditional coagulants, polyaluminum chloride rapidly forms dense flocs in low-temperature, low-turbidity environments, simultaneously removing COD, phosphorus, and heavy metals.

PAC removes over 90% of color from printing and dyeing wastewater, effectively and thoroughly demulsifies oil content, and keeps residual aluminum to a safe level, making water treatment more economical and environmentally friendly.

PAC Wastewater Treatment Process

What is the PAC Wastewater Treatment Process?

Step 1: PAC Addition

Step 2: Mixing Reaction

Step 3: Flocculation and Sedimentation

PAC Wastewater Treatment Process

Add the polyaluminium chloride solution in proportion

The PAC and wastewater are thoroughly mixed to form flocs

Suspended particles agglomerate and settle to the bottom of the tank

Step 4: Discharge Compliance.

The supernatant water will be discharged after testing and compliance.

How does polyaluminium chloride work?

Polyaluminium chloride removes suspended matter, colloids, and some soluble pollutants from wastewater through charge neutralization, adsorption bridging, and netting sedimentation. Three reactions occur in this process:

Charge neutralization: PAC hydrolysis produces various high-valent cations, which react with negatively charged colloidal particles in the wastewater, destabilizing the colloids and promoting particle aggregation.

Adsorption bridging: The hydroxyl groups (-OH) on the PAC molecular chain bind to the surface of pollutants, forming a “long chain” structure that adsorbs multiple particles and forms large flocs.

‌Netting Sedimentation‌: The generated aluminum hydroxide colloid forms a network structure during the sedimentation process, further capturing tiny particles and accelerating solid-liquid separation.

The core advantages of PAC in industrial wastewater treatment

1. Efficient flocculation and fast treatment speed.

PAC has strong charge neutralization and adsorption bridging properties, rapidly forming large, dense flocs, significantly accelerating sedimentation and improving treatment efficiency. For example, in coal washing wastewater, the use of PAC can achieve a turbidity removal rate of 95%, far exceeding the 80% achieved by traditional chemicals.

2. Wide range of applicable water qualities.

PAC works effectively within a pH range of 5 to 9, adapting to the complex water qualities of various industrial wastewaters, including high turbidity, high organic matter content, and oily wastewater.

3. Low dosage and low cost.

Compared with traditional coagulants such as aluminum sulfate, PAC dosage can be reduced by 20% to 50%, saving not only chemical costs but also reducing sludge production and subsequent treatment costs.

4. Excellent removal of heavy metals and organic matter

PAC has an adsorption and precipitation effect on various heavy metal ions (such as Cu²⁺, Pb²⁺, and Cd²⁺) and some organic pollutants, making it suitable for wastewater treatment in industries such as electroplating, pharmaceuticals, and printing and dyeing.

5. Low sludge production and excellent dewatering performance

PAC forms dense flocs with a low moisture content, facilitating subsequent sludge dewatering, reducing sludge volume and disposal costs.
